AbstractAlthough the survival rates of dental implants are shown to be high, various biological and technical complications are not uncommonly found. The management of such complications is usually uncomplicated but it can also be very demanding in certain situations. The occurrence of some of the complications might be prevented by the good selection of materials during planning and fabrication of the prosthesis.
