AbstractWe propose a stable explicit numerical integration method based on matrix exponential operator that enables accurate large time stepping for transient analysis. We utilize Krylov subspace projection to reduce the computational complexity of matrix exponential. Numerical experiments show the advantages of the proposed method over backward Euler in terms of accuracy and performance. © 2011 IEEE.
