AbstractThe total fatigue life in plane bending of thin sheets of heavily cold rolled alpha -brass is shown to depend on the angle the test specimen makes with the rolling direction. After annealing for 1 minute at 150 degree C the brass is 10% harder but its total fatigue life at all angles is reduced.
