AbstractEffects of central angle, frictional coefficient on the forming of ECAP were analyzed by simulating ECAP process of 6061 aluminum alloy at room temperature with the help of FEM (finite element method). The results reveal that with decreasing in central angle, equivalent strain of the samples is increased with more homogeneous distribution, however, pressing load is increased. Friction coefficient is closely related to the forming load. The samples exhibit heterogeneous deformation after one pressing.
