AbstractThe flexural ductility of symmetrically reinforced concrete (RC) columns cast from normal- and highstrength materials has been numerically investigated based on the full-range moment-curvature analysis. In particular, the effects of axial load ratio, concrete strength and steel strength on the flexural ductility of RC columns are evaluated. Based on the numerical results obtained, it has been found that the flexural ductility of RC columns decreases with axial load ratio, concrete strength and steel strength.
