Dr David Frew
I am an observational astronomer specialising in multi-wavelength studies of the phases of late-stage stellar evolution, including post-AGB stars, planetary nebulae, and symbiotic stars. I am interested in the physics of mass-loss in single and binary systems, the end-points of massive star evolution, and the interaction of ejecta with the interstellar medium. Applied historical astronomy, science education, and interdisciplinary studies round out my interests.
