Dr Zhang, Jun 張珺
Jun taught in the Department of Growth and Structure of Cities at Bryn Mawr College before she joined the institute. Jun is interested in the middle-class culture, philanthropy and humanitarianism, automobility and infrastructure, spatial politics and urbanization, with a regional focus on China. She is currently working on a book manuscript that examines the mutually constitutive process of middle class and automobility in the Pearl River Delta area. Her second project explores the spatial metamorphosis of Canton/Guangzhou as a way to critically evaluate the socio-economic and political transformations in the intense urbanization processes in China.
