Robert C. Roberts received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Systems & Control Engineering at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Cleveland, Ohio, in 2005 and 2006, respectively. His M.S. research focused on the development of software defined radio. From 2005 to 2006 he served as a laboratory technician in the John G. Breen Technology Center at the Sherwin-Williams Company in Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at CWRU in 2012.
From 2012 to 2013 he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Since March 2013, he has been a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at HKU. His dissertation work focused on the development of inkjet printing microfabrication techniques using gold nanoparticles towards the development of printed microsystems. His research interests focus on the development of additive microfabrication techniques and MEMS-based technologies for energy, and healthcare applications. He has authored or coauthored over 20 publications and has served as a technical paper reviewer for the Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems. He is a member of IEEE, Materials Research Society, and Eta Kappa Nu.
