Dr Capio, Catherine Mamaid
Catherine completed her doctoral studies in the University of Hong Kong, where her dissertation explored the relationship of movement skills proficiency with physical activity in children with and without disabilities. During her doctoral period, was also an international scholar in the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, where she engaged in research and practice in the field of adapted physical activity. Catherine is a physiotherapist and she also has an MSc in Ergonomics from the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden. Given this background, her research interests are in the intersecting areas of motor learning, biomechanics, rehabilitation and physical activity for populations with movement and/or developmental disorders.
