Dr Cheung, Hiu Yee Zelda 張曉宜
Dr. Cheung graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences, specializing in Neuroscience. She obtained her PhD from the Department of Anatomy at the University of Hong Kong as a Croucher Foundation Scholar. She was then awarded a Croucher Foundation Fellowship for her postdoctoral training at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she was subsequently appointed as Assistant Lecturer and Research Assistant Professor. Her research focuses on deciphering a cellular process known as autophagy in neuronal development and neurodegeneration.
