Dr Cheung, King Ho 張敬浩
- Molecular mechanisms for Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis (Calcium dysregualtion, neuronal apoptosis and autophagy)
- Structure function of intracellular calcium release channels (inositol trisphosphate receptors, ryanodine receptors and nicotinic acid adenine nucleotide diphosphate receptors) and their roles in diseases
Dr. Cheung obtained his Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1999. After completed his PhD in the Department of Physiology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004, he pursued his postdoctoral training in electrophysiology and calcium signaling at The University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA, USA) under the supervision of Prof. Kevin Foskett (2004-2010). His research work has been published in several top-ranked journals including Neuron, Cell and Science Signaling. In 2010, He took up his Assistant Professor position at the Department of Physiology, The University of Hong Kong.
