Fiona Yang is Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Urban Planning and Design. Prior to that, she was Post-Doctoral Fellow at the same Department. She holds a PhD in economic geography from the University of Hong Kong, a MSc. in human geography and a BSc. in economic geography and urban planning from Sun Yat-Sen University of China. From 2007 to 2008, she was an exchange research fellow at the Department of Geography, Hunter College of the City University of New York. Her paper co-authored with Dr. Hong Yi and Prof. Anthony Yeh won the 2012 Outstanding Research Output Prize of the University of Hong Kong. Her academic interests focus on service economy, China’s urban and regional development, and Hong Kong-Guangdong economic integration.
