Dr. Judy WP Yam is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology. She obtained her BSc degree (Biochemistry) from the University of Washington, USA. She further pursued her MSc and PhD degrees in the Department of Biology, HKUST. After graduation, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology in 2000. She was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2004 and then to Assistant Professor in 2007. She was promoted to her current position in 2013. Her research interest focuses on the functional characterization of tumor suppressors and oncogenes and elucidation of cellular signaling pathways which contribute to the pathogenesis of cancers.
