To evaluate student usage of the thinkpad computer purchased through the HKU/IBM notebook computer programme and their level of satisfaction with the programme and other supporting services; to gauge the changes in their self-reported skills and attitudes towards IT use in education; to compare the results with those obtained from the first batch of participatns in 1998-1999.
