Students' response to multi-solution physics problems
Dr Tao, Louis Ping Kee (Principal investigator)
Other Funding Scheme
To develop open-ended physics problems which allow for different lines of approach and give rise to multiple solutions (or no solution at all). Pupils' response to such problems are investigated as a means of ascertaining their divergent thinking ability. These divergently structured problems can be incorporated into the school physics curriculum to complement the traditional convergent problems.
