To compare the resting and exercise cardiopulmonary function of DDDR versus VVIR and DDD modes; to compare the diurnal pacing rate and blood pressure variation in these pacing modes; to study the influence of the type of sensor on the exercise performance and ambulatory blood pressure response in VVIR and DDDR pacing; to study the incidence of atrial arrhythmias during each pacing mode.
