Objectives
To elucidate the relationship between marine water quality and the ecology and composition of intertidal and offshore algal communities. This will enable indicator species to be identified. The results will have practical application not only in pollution monitoring but also in fisheries, mariculture, fouling and in the recreational use of the marine environment.
