Objectives
To identify the lowest position of sea level during the last glacial maximum; to reconstruct the timing of sea-level changes since the last glacial maximum through the identification of the Holocene-Pleistocene boundary; t o obtain clues on the contribution of carbon to the global carbon cycle during the last glacial period and the early Holocene transgression; to reconstruct palaeo-environments on the continenal shelf including the search for signatures of the Younger Dryas and Heinrich Events H1 and H2.
