Objectives
B lymphocytes are continuously produced in the bone marrow parenchyma. They leave the marrow by transit through the sinusoidal wall. Sinusoidal lumina are often loaded with newly-formed B lymphocytes, and are hard to displace by perfusion, suggesting that they actually adhere to the adluminal side of endothelium. A stage of adherence might serve selective mechanisms such as tolerance induction. We propose to study molecular interactions involved.
