Objectives
By use of in situ hybridization and a chimeric animal model, to answer the following questions with regard to immunoglobulin repertoire development in rodent bone marrow: 1) Does the population of pre-B cells use the IgVh gene families in frequencies differing from those in the population of IgM+ B lymphocytes? 2) How is the Vh gene usage within clones of B lymphoid cells? 3) Is the Vh gene family usage influenced by microenvironmental factors?
