Objectives
The objective of this project is to develop a system to retrieve related videos based on a short sample video clip (10 to 15 seconds of video). The video database can be as small as a local video archive or as large as the Internet. This method will provide a more accurate result by making use of low-level frequency analysis, high-level video analytics and an efficient video fingerprinting scheme. Given a short sample video clip of at the order of tens of seconds, the proposed application will yield a list of comparable videos which contains similar, if not identical, sample clips. This application is very helpful in many areas, such as personal entertainment (finding interested videos) as well as the copyright alert system (finding copyright infringement materials).
