Objectives
2) To understand the positioning of the Indonesian Chinese individuals under the backdrop of the political and social changes in Indonesia, China and Hong Kong. 3) To examine the case of Indonesian Chinese in Hong Kong under the theoretical frameworks of transnationalism as well as identity studies in linguistic anthropology/sociolinguistics. 4) To elevate our knowledge of multilingual Hong Kong and sub-group multilingual dynamics through analysis of Indonesian Chinese’s sociolinguistic practices.
