Objectives
1) Analysis and Synthesis of Hybrid Control Laws: Develop efficient approaches to synthesizing both continuous state control laws and discrete mode switching laws to stabilize switched systems and optimize various system gain performance specifications; 2) Robustness Analysis and Robust Synthesis: Establish quantitative characterizations on the robustness of the closed-loop systems against uncertainties in both state evolution and mode switching, and use them to improve the design approaches for better robustness; 3) Constrained Synthesis: Extend the results to structure-constrained hybrid control, for which both structured continuous controller gains will be considered. Construct efficient numerical synthesis algorithms.
