Objectives
1) To develop methods allowing us to control the cell volume in a precise and programmable manner; 2) To carefully examine the transmembrane ion transport in various cells under imposed volume regulation; 3) To systematically explore the possibility of using imposed volume changes to selectively kill different cancer cells; 4) To model the size evolution of cells induced by different volume-changing cues.
