2) Apply the developed tool to policy analysis to provide Chinese policymakers with a realistic picture of pollution-associated welfare losses. a. Demonstrate that the cost of NOT regulating excess air pollution in China is too large to ignore. b. Contribute to drafting effective pollution-abatement strategies that reflect cross-regional variations in terms of the magnitude of pollution-health effects and related socioeconomic conditions.
